Brexit won't crush their Eurovision dreams! ๐๐ค๐ฌ๐ง 12 points from Ireland! ๐ฎ๐ช๐

flowerofthesouth But nevertheless it's gonna be a difficult divorce procedure for you guys. And it'll especially be difficult for us in Ireland because we'll be the EU nation worst affected by Brexit since your our closest trading partner (in the trading bloc). Though I'm sure we can come to some sort of bilateral agreement. But I'm not convinced we can avoid a hard land border.

MrMakeDo Thank you! :) We still love Britain too! :)

PAUL R We don't need to become part of Britain again to become good friends. We're good friends already.
4
guilbert Yeah that is awkward but odd too because the UK was one of the acts I voted for last night. Doesn't make sense. Did Ireland give 1% of its vote to Britain? But anyway that's the Jury vote you saw not the public vote. The voting rules changed remember?

flowerofthesouth We wanted you guys to stay in Europe but we respect your decision.

Suspicious Windmills Thanks! :) I'm surprised Molly didn't get through to the final but not surprised Nicky didn't. His singing was awful. We sent the wrong Westlifer! Should've sent Shane Filan! Also Brexit to me sounds like a quick breakfast for a quick getaway (and a quick getaway it definitely sounds like). As for Ireland, I dunno if we'd vote for Irexit (Or รirexit as in รire).

mallaka8 Exactly. But nevertheless it's important to our economy.
1
PAUL R No thanks. It's not gonna happen. We're very happy as a sovereign nation.
1
PAUL R I watch Irish TV and British, just simply because we can get it over here. And I read Irish newspapers. I'm Irish because I was born in Ireland not Britain. Simple as.
1
PAUL R And a united Ireland is possible after seeing the result of the Northern Ireland elections.
1
PAUL R But it wouldn't be our fault that our economy takes a hit. We're just simply collateral damage.

Russell CC If you hold dual nationality, are you from Northern Ireland?
1
Russell CC Whereabouts in Ireland are your parents from?

56cpfan Dude, I was obviously making a joke! This is the third time I've had to tell someone! lol
1
TwNx Do you hold an Irish or British passport?
1
Ben Bielenberg But Ireland might be the exception because we've always had freedom to travel to the UK and vice versa long before either of us were EU members. But yes we might still have to queue for hours in the new British customs like all the other member states. And of course Brits will still have to go through the international queue rather than the EU one in Dublin airport.
1
Joroko Korojo I know that I was making a joke! lol! Fourth time I've had to explain that. ๐
1
TwNx Good. I assumed you got one.
