@Stopme38326 The invasion of marutinia is commonly stated as a alternative start of WW2. There are several others, like italy invading abysinnia, or the spanish civil war. Because WW2 doesnt have a definitive start date. Countries joined at different times, they didnt all just declare war on the same day. The German invasion of poland is the most commonly stated begining because it involved the first declaration between 2 major powers.

It seems like its taking the piss out of propaganda, nationalism and hyper patriotism around the cold war, much like fallout. Also, the studios in cypress, and the team, whilst being created by Russians, has people from everywhere including Ukraine. What does he want them to do, call the game "Putin's a dick " and change a game that's been created by a small team for over 5 years just to push a message that 99.9% of people agree with anyway?

@Stopme38326 And? Western Europe has been, and is much safer than North/South america or Asia. Western europe hasnt seen any war other than the troubles (a couple of irish people blowing up a couple of cars) or the cod wars, which was like the cold war except with fish instead of nuclear war. And all that happened in them is a couple of boats hit each other. A war that happend 80 years ago has no bearing on my safety today. And every part of the world has had its genocides. The Yanks wiped out the native americans. The same with the Spanish and the native south american tribes. Africa had the rawandan genocide in the 90s. China is doing a genocide agaisnt the Uyghurs right now. And most of the middle east conflict has come from a circle jerk of one group trying to genocide the other, with the US cheering them on. And im not playing with the definition of world war. There is no concrete start point. Thats why its up for debate.
