@kennethfharkin Rallly events dont "let" you watch for free. Its just impossible to stop people getting in with no phisical barriers. When they can actually control the flow of people (for example the special stage i went to in a walled off statley house) they do monitor the entry and need tickets

@kennethfharkin I'm not disputing your point as a whole, but just saying that the rally (at least the WRC) does not let you veiwnit for free, it's just impossible to enforce

It is for saftey tho. Bridges that cross permanent tracks only accessible to ticket holders are covered.And F1 are PAYING Vegas to host the race, weras others pay to host the race.

It is for saftey, not greed. Bridges that cross tracks a permanent circuits (at FIA grade one tracks at least) have no windows for this reason, and they are only accessible to ticket holders

@Andrew-ty6ll If you lived in a first world country like where the other street tracks are, then workers would get paid time off

@raymondcarver476 The main building is permanent, but all the walls and grandstands are temporary. Its been quite disruptive this year because they have to do lots of actuall construction, as it has been with all the new "street tracks" (at least this ones on streets, not in a car park like Miami or some wasteland lake saudi arabia) but the following years the entire circus can be up and down in a day or two. In Monaco (before 2022 at least) they had practice on thursday (which always takes place on Friday) and then took down some walls and opened it up on the friday, and put it all back for saturday
