@stereomachine It's lobbying power is weakening however due to the Internet. And they know it. People have the likes of Tiktok (Chinese controlled), Al Jazeera (Qatar) and European government funded news sources (e.g. France24, DW) they can see. There's isn't the choke hold that cable TV / TV media has any more. And the US has bigger fish to be concerned about in China and the US isn't as interested in the ME anymore due to the shale oil revolution and Canadian oil sands meaning they don't need ME oil anymore. Also the US cares about being the currency of world trade more than anything else. You make that trade harder, say by Houthis choking up vital sea lanes due to your invasion, you make the US more angry.

@Oblivion___ Bibi thought he thought he could control the US via the Israel lobby. He is quickly finding out the long party is over. The US didn't need distractions when they had a proxy war with Russia and geopolitical tensions with China. And stoking tensions with Iran for no good reason. And thus making world trade harder (and thus use of the US dollar as the global currency). Bibi wanted to strike at Iran harder but Boss Biden told him to not do that. Bibi no doubt really pissed the US off when they said 'don't enter Rafah' but did so they are ramping up the political pressure on him.
