  1. Regarding resources, what is overlooked is, after the ban of Australian coal to China, guess who exports the most to them? Indonesia. The ban has since been lifted but Australian coal exports to China still are not close to the same amounts as before.

  3. incorrect on all counts. It is proven company tax rates do not affect productivity. Companies will do whatever to access a market e.g. conforming with the Chinese government or EU's GDPR laws. Some money is better than no money.

  4. Yes and no. In Australia here. Many young Australians are in reality a lot wealthier than a lot of counterparts their age due to their mandatory, on top of wages (currently at minimum 11%), pension fund contributions, which are invested. Most, if not all, Australian workers are indirectly owners of Youtube in reality via this. The only issue for many is that (rightfully) it is very hard to access that money until you are 60. Also, the infrastructure and healthcare system is not as bad. The reason why it isn't as bad is due to strong unions in healthcare and a Western European-like system of wage negotiation and standards, it increases wages that in reality attract FAR more overseas health professionals and hardly any of them leave Australia. For example, a FY1 junior doctor gets paid 59% more than one in the UK. Not a typo. Fifty-nine percent. And that isn't including that 11% on top I mentioned earlier. Yes, Australia has a notorious housing crisis, but it isn't worse than Ireland in other factors objectively. It doesn't mean Australia does not have problems, It does. But you just don't see the human brain drain flight from Australia like from Ireland and New Zealand. Ironically, they often go to Australia, because of said wages.

  6.  @Making_Karens_Cranky  the extent depends on state in reality. The rural issue is not just an Australian problem and in fact, Ireland has it as well. The fact that Super (the on-top-of-wages pension contribution payment for others, it's short for 'superannuation') exists, as well as things such as penalty rates (high rates of pay for certain work conditions) means you are ahead of others in the same job in other developed countries, particularly English speaking, already. As stated, it doesn't mean Australia does not have problems, It does. Like literally what you stated. But the extent is often not as objectively bad. Australia is not suffering a brain drain problem of it's citizens to other countries like with Ireland and New Zealand. And as stated, they often ironically go to Australia.
