  1. Most of an EV battery is graphite, nickel, aluminium and copper. If you are thinking of the lithium, most of that is mined in Chile and Australia. Most of the Congo’s cobalt is VASTLY exported to China. Cobalt free batteries already exist and are being more and more used. CATL, China’s biggest battery manufacturer, has already released a sodium-ion EV car battery. The PlayStation 2 had a lot of cobalt too and it was widely reported by the media then too but that can’t get in the way of that gaming nostalgia right? Stop pretending to care.
