Having old Asian uncles and aunties look at you thinking 'What the hell is this tourist doing here?' at multiple food places only locals go to, like I did, is a compliment LOL. Yeah, I didn't travel to this random food place in the middle of an industrial area for nothing LOL

  3. Depends on what aspects e.g. ALOT of Japanese dislike the bases in Okinawa and there have been scandals involving American military personnel. The latest one being COVID-19 outbreaks linked to US military bases there.

  8. From an immigrant here: Always know the realities of the place you are moving to. Always ask people who live there so you get the full picture like you have here. Rose-tinted glasses will only hurt you.
