  2. it isn't. Fastly acts as the 'edge' in front of AWS for many. Companies will use whatever is lowest cost for the need, regardless of if a sibling company offers a similar product.

  5. or y'know, it was a change configuration that went wrong and rolled back, Happens a lot in IT, it's happened before with AWS and Google Cloud and Cloudflare. Occam's Razor eh.
