Sky News is always misleading.

Only he got off on a technicality. it doesn't prove he was innocent, it only proved that the process convicting him was flawed: https://www.sbs.com.au/news/how-george-pell-won-in-the-high-court-on-a-legal-technicality

@mikeburley8255 Actual academics here, in QUT law school professors. He got off on a technicality, the technicality does not prove innocence in anyway, only it proved the conviction was concluded in a flawed way, re-trial and new lawsuits are 1000% coming: https://www.sbs.com.au/news/how-george-pell-won-in-the-high-court-on-a-legal-technicality

Only the stats have proven that it has not increased suicides.

and get us in a third wave. Shut up. Grow up.

@matthewflinders1978 COVID-19 is literally 6-10x worse going by the petri dish that is the US. Grow up. Sky News was pushing for an opening in the first wave. Stop believing their BS propaganda eh. Deb Freckington (Liberal opposition in Queensland) pushed for an opening of Queensland's borders 64 times. Look up Sky News' archives if you want their complicity. Sky News are scum.

Why are Sky News not attacking the Northern Territory Liberals for leasing the Port of Darwin for 100 years to a Chinese company?

@siggy7265 so law school professors are 'lefties'? Oh please. You benefit from 'lefty' policies and COVID-19 has proven 'righty' economics doesn't work.
3
yeah no, all the polls indicate otherwise. And no, the polls predicted Clinton would win the popular vote by 3 million votes and did. Learn how the Electoral College works.
3
@matthewflinders1978 yes that history of lockdowns working as proven by the 1918 flu epidemics and statistics and accounts from the 14th century Black Plague. Good job, you played yourself.
3
@matthewflinders1978 it's not like those under 50 can spread it right? BIG BRAIN you are.

or I guess you know more than law school professors do you?
3
and yes, I'd hire a the law professors who wrote that SBS article, yes.
3
@bluewrenreilly129 If you were not part of the jury presented with all the evidence, you CANNOT say in anyway either way. Grow up and stop talking out of your ass. I have been a part of a jury on a child abuse case so I damn well know that I cannot judge without being presented all of the evidence.

In the US, 61,000 died from the flu in 2017-18, a bad flu season. This was over 6-7 months (Oct 2017 - late Feb 2018), like COVID-19. So far, 202,000 in the US have died from COVID-19 over the same timeframe. This is with restrictions as well. And it is far from go away in the US. Grow up kids.

@genevieveryan5345 Only it isn't, but I'd trust an actual lawyer over your armchair law degree:https://auspublaw.org/2020/06/border-closures-covid-19-and-s-92-of-the-constitution/
2
@josephb2259 That's for the courts to decide. if you have been a part of a jury in a child abuse case like I have been, you know the complexities that Joe and Jo Public never factor in + you respect the course of the law a lot more. The actual facts and reality are stated by the QUT law professors in that SBS article, which I paraphrased.

Why aren't you covering John Barilaro blatant corruption? Why did John Barilaro cut funding and personnel from NSW firefighters before the bushfires? Why did John Barilaro use $3.3 million of public money to pop up his friend's failing oyster farm business? Why did John Barilaro not declare any conflict of interest when legislating short term rental laws in NSW? Why did John Barilaro blatantly flout quarantine rules because he had to "feed his chickens"? Why isn't Sky News asking these questions? #corruption #SuperBarilaroBruz
2
@Geoff King sure bud. Yes, I'm sure you know more than law school professors. Grow up.
2
@siggy7265 Also pretty damn sure aged care and disability workers work damn hard and are still underpaid. As said, grow up.
2
Or it was a technicality but I guess you know more than law school professors eh? https://www.sbs.com.au/news/how-george-pell-won-in-the-high-court-on-a-legal-technicality
2
@chrisloulach1476 yes but it doesn't prove innocence (or guilt) either.
2
Gary Sandhu you know more than infectious disease experts who says it wasn't do you?

@matthewflinders1978 you are aware of where the word 'quarantine' comes from right?
2
@matthewflinders1978 [citation needed]
2
So you know more than infectious disease experts (in another state I might add) who stated it was nothing to do with them?
2
Because it has nothing to do with them, but you know more than infectious disease experts who state it wasn't to do with the pretests? Other cities has protests too y'know...
2
@williamchami3524 and you would know that the 7-0 was based upon that they judged process of convicting him was flawed, not that he was innocent. Have you ever done jury duty?
2
Sean Penney yeah no. Sky News has full control. Less tin foil hat.
2
Good. You've now realised the BSness of Sky News.
2
So you know more than infectious disease experts who state it was nothing to do with them?
2
@mareezy1 It is not the flu. it is 6 to 10x as deadly and it spreads at 2.5x the rate. Not to mention it has longer lasting potential complications after you survive it. Grow up.
2
@mareezy1 In the US, 61,000 died from the flu in 2017-18, a bad flu season. This was over 6-7 months (Oct 2017 - late Feb 2018), like COVID-19. So far, 202,000 in the US have died from COVID-19 over the same timeframe. This is with restrictions as well. And it is far from go away in the US.

2
@herogebrial See that it is common to detail all the possible complications / contributing factors on a death certificate for a deceased person e.g. the COVID-19 weakened their immune system so their asthma got worse as a result, for example, so both are listed. This is common medical practice, far before COVID-19. OPEN YOUR EYES.
2
Only it isn't Ms lawyer.
2
New Zealand went hard and worked. Shut up.
2
You mean the record spending into the health system he did pre COVID-19 vs the NSW health crisis by the Liberals?
1
you know it can spread right?
1
@thejollyfrog2791 only it doesn't if you know even basic things about law or y'know even done jury duty.
