It's quite amazing how they were able to fit two dystopias in one peninsula.

@NinthSettler What do think the underlying theme and social commentary of Squid Game and Parasite, both originally intended for Korean audiences, were commenting on? Look up the lack of labour laws, lack of elderly care, housing prices, school competition, blantant sexism, the power of the chaebols…

@Connor_Roush so edgy bro. Touch some grass.

@technobladeleakedclips1827 also forgot ‘Train to Busan’ - What do you think the zombies and the characters represented? Gees, in the opening scenes, the Dad neglecting his child because he is at work all the time…. Have you seriously wondered why all those Korean shows have all the same underlying theme? Have you ever wondered why a lot of anime is set in high school? Clue: It was the last time a lot felt ‘free’ before the societal corporate pressure and dystopia grinded them down

@technobladeleakedclips1827 What do you think Squid Game and Parasite were commenting on? 😂 Do you really wanna look up those ‘self ending’ stats for South Korea and the underlying societal reasons why? ‘Cardboard grandmas’ definitely isn’t dystopian at all….

@technobladeleakedclips1827 lol, you think the stats lie? 😂🤣 - Also you being a tourist, living and seeing tourist areas has little to do with everyday realities 😂

@peterroberts4415 Yeah, those from actual countries with military service can handle guns better than your weekend warrior arse and respect them a lot more too.

@darthparallax5207 Norway is as good as it gets 😂 - the real judge is median wealth and median income.

@CharliMorganMusic I argue current South Korea is more of a corporatocracy but slowly moving towards cyberpunk

@soundscape26 Your logic: It is ok and not dangerous to wear a t-shirt because it is -20 and not -40.
3
@briarrose361 lol nah, Might wanna read up on that North Korean history eh.

@Kokopelli-Kid a tad more complex than that. And how previous wise use of capital that was effective in the past isn’t as wise anymore, both in South Korea and China, but for different reasons.

@Reformed_Zuko sure bud. grow up kid. touch some grass.

@lucifugerofocale5847 I argue current South Korea is more of a corporatocracy but slowly moving towards cyberpunk. The tech domination part in society / surveillance like in China isn't quite there yet

@eriktroske6405 It is American 'grind' mentality on hyperdrive. Everyone else in Europe and down under think American grind / monetise everything mentality is just insane. A lot of American immigrants who move to European countries or down under notice this immediately and thus how dumb and stressful that American mindset it is

You know sweet FA about the sexism in South Korean society.
1
@lucifugerofocale5847 closer to a Corporatocracy in the South.
1
@lucifugerofocale5847 Closer to current Gilded Age corporatocracy that is slowly moving to cyberpunk for the South.

@soundscape26 doesn’t mean it is advisable and not harmful to only wear a t -shirt in -20.

@davidbakke9293 oh my sweet naive child - look up what happens if you're a South Korean journalist and exposed Samsung....
1
@manullim oh you dunno - did you even watch the whole video?
