  2. It did for laptops with the Crowdstrike Falcon sensor. However they are only one endpoint solution of many. It is likely your company does not use Crowdstrike and uses a competitor.

  3.  @vandibox it was a corrupted file with all zeros as data. Nothing to do with any hack, just pure incompetence and/or a thing was overlooked.

  4. It was a corrupted channel file (basically updating cyber threat lists) and as that file was corrupted, the operating system couldn’t boot properly as a result. It is a needed evil in reality as malware targets the kernal level.
