Thus why the actual future is burning this waste to generate power. Although this sounds bad, the technology is actually so good with filtering that it produces FAR less methane and CO2 than leaving it in landfill or processing the plastic. A clear example is Sweden, **who import waste and plastics to burn**. As Jake said, the only useful thing to recycle is metals as it's actually cheaper to do so without losing quality or integrity of the metal.

@vladstefan5216 basically, yes, it's polluting, but it still FAR less overall polluting than the alternatives. Don't fall victim to the perfection fallacy.

@vladstefan5216 you forget the reality that ALL energy generation is polluting, it's just the degree of it. And the net benefit if doing this is far better than landfill or loss making processing.

@vladstefan5216 this is literally why burning trash hasn't been viable until now because of that lack of filtering technology. The tech is now here, for example, the filters used in Amager Bakke, one of the largest waste-to-energy generators in Denmark, reduced dixons and CO2 emissions to near zero. You forget how good filter tech can be. Sewage water processing means that processed sewage water is often safer than tap water.

@vladstefan5216 and burning trash via incinerators is NOT the same as waste-to-energy generators.

Having studied the fishing industry in university...um yeah um.....sh*t's fucked. Like really f*cked.

Hey edgyboi, the actual future abd proper solution is actually burning this waste to generate power. I assume you knew that edgyboi? Any further buzzwords you wanna use?

*except as stated, for metals.

Olympic athletes, who eat better and are far more fit than your fat butt, has struggled with the long term effects of COVID-19, and you think you could beat it? Not to mention, have you ever encountered smallpox in your life, y'know, the thing that ravaged humanity for at least 20,000 years? Guess how went away? Same with polio. *We literally mass vaccinated against polio and it took 3 shots* Also vaccines literally work by using your immune system.

Looks like you aren't too concerned about science and history David.

Division 1 college athletes have struggled getting over COVID-19 and you think your slow, unfit butt could better than them?

@An amateur boxer is made :) you are 141 times less likely to get COVID-19 so bad to require hospitalisation when fully vaccinated vs unvaccinated. If you do catch it while fully vaccinated, you spread it less as well as your viral load is less.
1
@davidbrown408 the death rate of fully vaccinated people is FAR FAR lower. Depending on source and area, 93-98% of all COVID-19 deaths are those not vaccinated and this is in areas with relatively high fully vaccinated rates.

@An amateur boxer is made :) people like you tend to forget a small % of a really really big number is still much bigger than a larger % of a small number.
1
@An amateur boxer is made :) don't change the subject or goalposts. It's simple maths. A low % of a really really big number is still a really really big number. And everyone is gangsta until someone they care about gets it.

@An amateur boxer is made :) as stated, 141 times less likely to be hospitalised when fully vaccinated. 141 times. Yeah.
