YouTube, despite its flaws, has less fundamental flaws than other platforms for engagement and monetisation, which are the key things for a content creator. TikTok has the engagement but not the monetisation. Same with Facebook. YouTube has the best of both. Discord is very much for community fostering and engagement for content creators. You want them to keep being fans of you and have you in their minds so they keep engaging with your content. A sense of community does that, much like being fans of a sports team.
