Used to use that trick with alligator clips on diodes and capacitors because that would keep the heat from going into the dial and you saw it on the other side and the clip would act like a heat sink have a good day

That's why I like the old cars you had wires and you didn't have all these computers and sensors and all that other stuff to go haywire make you crazy but I'm not as brilliant as Ray is them young guys they know technology God bless them have a good day
2
I have that it drives me crazy cuz when I'm under the hood working on my engine and it's running I can't rev it from under the hood to keep it going if I'm doing a cleaning service have a good day

If you have a crucible you ought to put eye of newt and wing of bat in there and mix it and cackle
1
Hey I can hold a wrench does that mean I'm a mechanic have a good day
1
I like that little dual alligator clip magnetic fixture you have but when I do a splice like that I twist one put them together parallel like you did overlapping and then twist one up and twist the other one down to kind of get them knoted together and then I solder it but that's just me I have a bench mount fixture like that with a magnifying glass so I can do circuit boards got at harbor freight for I know maybe 10 bucks but you did a great job great diagnostic man you know sometimes people do stuff and they could at least use cramps but some people don't even know about them hey great job Ray
1
I don't claim to be an expert but on YouTube some people can sit behind the glass screen and say whatever they want to I'd like to see them do it your talkers in the world and they're doers in the world I'm a doer raise a door and the guy that just came up with that technical paragraph noses stuff I admire that that's pretty deep man have a good day

Sometimes we all take different paths because of our experience but we end up at a common goal and solve the problem will work for me might not work for you or verse - vicy but again product is we fixed it and it works great and we did it right have a good day
1
Sometimes I take a little bit of fine sandpaper or Scotch-Brite just pull it over the wires to get that nasty green stuff and get them nice and shiny then I retwist them and it'll solder up great have a good day
1
Silent two wires together before you do that make sure you have heat shrink for each individual set and then another bigger piece of heat shrink on all four that you can slide over later to seal the back and then get you a harness cover you know the ones with the little slit in it and then snap that over the whole thing and nobody will know you ever did anything and it'll look pretty too and it won't melt have a good day
1

That's a great idea I mean the paste is a good option if you can find it but I used mainly use that when I was sweating pipes with solder but with browsing corset or if you get the wires right and you don't get them all oil and greasy you can sign them to be all right I would have put another jacket of heat shrink on all four pushed it back got everything together and then slid it over the back and then he trunk them all together in this way and make it nice and pretty in a little more water tight hey have a good day
1
Some people can't be you and it's easier to try and tear you down and than bring themselves up have a good day

Forget about the trolls you know I'd under the hood bent over with a soldering iron you're probably uncomfortable been there done that hey it's kind of funny I said that and then a few minutes late he said I'm uncomfortable bent over this hot engine great minds sometimes get lucky
1
I usually try to put the gun tip or irons have under the wire and the solder on top so the side of the wire will heated enough to draw the solder in and that will give you a good connection have a good day

I usually looked at when I was fixing tooling or machine what did people touch last look for signs wear something to remove the tinkered a band out of place and start there machines on her own usually do pretty well it's when people mess with them they can start having problems

1
It's called a cold joint solder glob on but does not fuse with the copper and that's where you have problems it looks like a solder joint but it's not
