I’m by no means an expert, but I do think the US GDP and growth is tied to a small number of massive companies, who see limited to no competition. In comparison the EU has less of its GDP tied to its biggest companies. I would argue this makes the US economy not necessarily less stable, but certainly vulnerable if something were to happen to these few companies.
