@smacpats6379 In the case pf congestion pricing there would likely be an investment in public transit to the areas impacted the most. So the transit that may not exist now, may come to exist. And it goes for the entire city. If congestion pricing goes into affect, areas with already existing transit will se their automotive mode share shift towards transit

@smacpats6379 Having a hard time believing a once every half hour, once very 15 minute buss wouldn’t suffice. It doesn’t have to be heavy rail or subway.

Every driven down the Katy freeway in Texas? You haven’t? Your approach is what they did, and they ended up with a ridiculously wide highway, with longer travel times. Adding another lane does not work, due to induced demand. The only solution to induced demand, is working with transit modes that aren’t as prone to be affected. Trains and busses being examples.

If you can’t see a vehicle, then you should go. That’s why many cities install bushes and such in the first place.
