  1. So arbitrary and subjective. Instead of just learning that 30 C is pretty hot, 20 C is usually were things get comfortable. And due to the Celsius scale making sense under 0 means icy roads, so be careful, and over 100 means boiling.

  3. As a European, and a EU citizen, we really can’t. We should help them to rebuild and repair their own countries, but there really isn’t space inside the EU. Nor is there the will to handle the huge challenge that comes along with taking in immigrants.

  5. How does the dollar amount matter? It’s about how much of what you have “your share” and not what that is. Say 20% of a lower income is X amount of dollars, and 20% of high income is 10X dollars. They are still burdened the same. You could even argue the poor is burdened more since their margins are lower and those 20% are therefore more significant.

  30.  @DasMonke . You have to start somewhere, not to mention that self defense against a firearm with a firearm is a very rare situation. And the removal of one of those guns does decrease the risk for death overall. It turns out that escalating is not the best thing. An argument against change can’t be that the transitional period will be slightly difficult. New Zeeland banned all their automatic firearms over night. That will work out, and is a very reasonable thing to do. Eventually less guns will be in circulation and less people will get killed.

Knowing that under 0 means ice on roads and such, and 100 means boiling has to be more useful that “live-able temperature”. And for everything between 0 and 100 (there isn’t much) it’s just to learn. And you argue Fahrenheit is more accurate. Ever heard of a decimal? And it’s not like anyone needs to heat something up to a specific degree in Fahrenheit. You can round up, round up to the nearest Celsius. And metric measurements are far more logical, and easier to do maths with.
