Ryanair saying customer response was “very, very positive” means absolutely nothing. It’s Ryanair, it’s the absolute bare minimum. A free cup of water would be ”very very positive”.

Feels like YouTube has just become people copying wendover productions and CGP Grey
37
Nobody cares
9
So far it’s an isolated incident. Far too soon to make the conclusions that you are.
8
You are just a troll.
8
And how many of those do you think exists 😂
7
Slight overreaction…
7
The A320 NEO is cheaper than all other MAX aircraft except the 700 series, so they are not more expensive. As for the whole A320 family, the A321 is only slightly more expensive than the 900 series, and much cheaper than the 1000.
7
@robertbruce2182 2016… They retired their A340s and A330s in 2016. They also retired the 747s belonging to SkyCargo in 2017 if that counts.
6
And what does that have to do with the topic of this video?
5
The A220 have been widely praised for their comfort and spaciousness...
5
@Yk3d05bm The irony of you calling someone brainwashed.
4
It's nothing in comparison to the money involved with aviation. And since the db scale is exponential a 2-decibel difference might be noticeable.
4
Ok. I do not care…
4
2 years is not long at all…
4
Something tells me Boeings new CEO needs to do what he can to get the stock price back up. Would not surprise me at all if he green-lit one hell of a discount for this deal to go through. Which would mean this deal won’t do much for Boeings bottom line or the company in the long term.
3
More advanced? I mean it’s not even fly by wire...
3
They are searching for it
3
@jobbiejew He’s the Prime of youtube quality.
3
If they wanted 787s, they would have ordered the 787.
3
Wendover Productions has a video on that.
3
It should.
3
@iliyahristov5565 . But I’m just saying that a Ryanair customer probably can’t or shouldn’t speak to the quality or whatever of the 737 Max.
3
Over-engineering suggests an overly complex solution. This is rather simple.
3
@jouniairplanevideos . You don’t know exactly how much Boeing discounts to what airlines, so list price is by far the only way to truly compare. And you say no, yet you provide no source. I got those prices from a SimpelFlying article… And the fuel efficiency is debatable. I found the A320 NEO on 2,25 liters per 100km while I found the MAX 7 at 2.93, and the MAX 8 at 2.28…
3
@tomstravels520 , The 737 max has a fatal crash ratio value of over 3. That’s the second worst behind Concorde.
3
Superior operating economics. Providing that you can fill them of course.
3
That will be a while.
3
Probably negligible.
3
They sure let the Max launch with MCAS. Which was a known safety issue, intentionally kept secret from the FAA.
2
As a Swede, I need to cleanse my ears…
2
You can close the door to the aisle. Not that there much movement there anyway. And most people won’t spend their time looking out of the window. By utilizing the space for the legs as access they can also fit in a lot more seats.
2
@akidshistoryandaviation . He mentions it. “And found it” come on dude. It pretty basic knowledge in the aviation community.
2
It can fly almost a thousand miles further… that’s an increase of 25%. So no, they are not at all the same.
2
Wouldn’t agree on the legroom point. As a person who isn’t that tall (183 cm) I found it pretty cramped. Luckily it was only a one hour flight, but certainly wouldn’t want to fly any longer than that.
2
@JungleJetAviation06 No I’m sure that’s correct. It would have been an excellent way to procure aircraft quickly and getting an edge while everyone else is stuck in line. I don’t think the A320s specifically is what JetBlue was seeking, they just needed more aircraft. But as to why everybody’s ordering the A321 as opposed to the A320, the answer would be operating economics.
2
Airbus planes don’t crash due to corporate stock-prioritizing behavior, frankly lazy manufacturing, and plainly corrupt business practices.
2
@thetruthbehindplanesExcept they do.
1
@peterebel7899 , It’s not illegal for the Simple Flying team to provide weights in kilos...
1
Andre Davis, No but they are US built aircraft...
1
Are you serious? So because some Russian civilians might get hurt, the world should just stop responding to Russian aggression? By your logic Russia should pull out of Ukraine because Ukrainian civilians are getting hurt. A lot more of them mind you.
1
@JimboJimbo-i4i . It’s not like Boeing can or would just pull back support for all already flying aircraft, that would be a death sentence for them. And Europe would be just fine, even if Boeing were to seize doing business in Europe. We have Airbus. Better and safer planes.
1
Fisherkid 9307, And?
1
grounded for more than a year
1
@Jermigggricoooo You wrote finally. So no, you were not only talking about the current.
1
Because?
1
I mean. It wasn’t that long ago they operated something else.
1
@Normalguy54321 You wrote like it was decades ago Emirates operated some other aircraft. When it wasn’t.
1
It’s no coincidence they ask for this two weeks after a new, more “business friendly” (pronounced “corruption friendly”) president takes office.
1
Ey it’s Trump and the GOP who ultimately decide. I wouldn’t be so sure.
1
Russia is also in an economic crisis. Just because some Russians have gotten richer, doesn’t mean they all have. Anecdotal evidence is worthless.
1
The 757 has been long out of production, and Boeing hasn’t announced any long range version of the 737. There’s also a reason there aren’t too many Boeing 737s flying transatlantic while there are quite a few A320, A321
1
It's not about size, it's about how they have structured their network, point to point, or the hub and spokes model...
1
They are searching for it
1
A-220!
1
And what manufacturer would that be? There is no real actual besides Airbus and Boeing.
1
Because?
1
The European, I think like every mayor airline except southwest... (the same probably plenty that I don't know)
1
@thatonerandomkid-r2n . What do you think “so far” means? Does it maybe suggest that this should be reevaluated should the situation develop further? Or what do you think it means?
1
@nounoufriend1442 . They have plenty of MAX-8s in service and MAX-10s on order. Not sure where you got you information from.
1
@iceman9678 . Take away MCAS and the crashes don’t happen. It is as simple as that. Not to mention how Boeing didn’t tell anyone about the system.
1
@iceman9678 MCAS was an active decision, which actually could have been taken away. As opposed to the bird strike. So no, it’s not the same.
1
Ethiad already tried that. It failed…
1
Probably the only aviation channel saying seven-three-seven instead of Seven-thirty seven.
1
Which?
1
Flight Level 1-50? Pretty sure it’s 1-5-0…
1
@flying.Lubomir . Of course. But seeing as they are an aviation channel
1
@laurieannrogan1317 , Can't say I am… No.
1
When something is taken away from you, that is the definition of a loss.
1
@sainnt . Still stolen…
1
@jouniairplanevideos . I’m sorry but Boeing intentionally decided the FAA and other regulators. It doesn't matter how trained the pilots were, if their mistakes hadn't happened if Boeing didn't commit theirs. A driver looking down on their phone is guilty no matter if the guy crossing the street was jaywalking. And I've flown Scandinavian front row A321 numerous times. So I'm pretty sure that's not a thing.
1
Are you an analyst or executive fleet manager? Seems like a ticket agent wouldn’t have insight in the fleet management...
1
@MarktheSharkC , The A220 is praised for its comfort and spaciousness.
1
@lucasabrams9451 . The average for males in Sweden is 180-181, so I it definitely depends on the country. Like a third of the guys in my class are taller than me…
1
They are very different...
1
ThatFly WelshGuy, The 747s are also being parked...
1
And at least the airbus A320 family doesn't try to ram itself and its passenger into the ground...
1
I’m sure they do all the time. But Airbus doesn’t have a history of corporate malpractice.
1
And they flow East to west in the Southern Hemisphere.
1
Mike Renda, Which is also being fazed out...
1
Mike Renda, Yeah well A380 was made to capture a very very niche market...
1
@twinchantillytiffanysbenny8852 , There is really no difference between the 737 and 320 Family in terms of comfort.
1
They can, due to ETOPS certifications...
1
The max isn’t very different from any other 737. Wouldn’t’ a “brand” new aircraft be more of an eye-catcher?
1
I think southwest and analysts, are far more fit to make that prediction.
