  1. Some of you need to go back to school and learn that being a republic has nothing to do with whether you are a democracy or not. They aren’t mutually exclusive. And the US is a democracy.

  2.  @dospal . Google the definition of democracy. And then google the definition of a republic. The US doesn't have a monarchy, and it has a president, which makes it a republic. Its parliament and its head of state is elected by the people, which makes it a democracy. The electoral college doesn't change that.
