@MarvelousCards . No the 2nd amendment was designed to protect the population from a tyrannical government. Not a foreign state. And then you have the case of the 2nd amendment being totally useless, and doing more harm than good these days but that’s another discussion.

@MarvelousCards . I don’t see that sentence. Anywhere. You weren’t stating anything, and the original comment isn’t yours. And for the record, I do not drink coffee.

@MarvelousCards . First of all; calm down. What your or my opinion is on the existence of gun rights was not the topic of conversation. The topic was what the 2nd amendment was designed for. Secondly. Instead of just being blatantly mad and writing incoherent comments, which seem to contain no argument… try I don’t know. Coming up with one. And your channel has zero importance.

@donnyemig6001 . I'd love to see the statistics on that. Please do share them. And no matter what you say the use is, the wording of the amendment is very clear.

@MarvelousCards “The Second Amendment, ratified in 1791, was proposed by James Madison to allow the creation of civilian forces that can counteract a tyrannical federal government. Anti-Federalists believed that a centralized standing military, established by the Constitutional Convention, gave the federal government too much power and potential for violent oppression.” That would be the reason for its creation. It’s intended use. I’m not arguing what it can and should be used for. But rather it’s intended use. And no, personally I am completely for the continued possibility of people owning guns. But I also believe it should be heavily regulated so that people with mental health issues and or criminal history don’t come close to touching a gun. Owning a firearm should also come with serious and rigorous training, so the person in question really can handle and use a firearm should the need arise. And guns shouldn’t be toys. As for its intended use, I believe the second amendment has served its purpose and should be scrapped to make way for legislation tailored to the 21st century. The risk of a long standing democratic government going tyrannical is ridiculously low. And just stop calling me stuff. I’m not offended but it makes you sound really childish, and like you don’t have anything better to say.
