  38. Another factor is, how sure can they be that the nukes will work? They're high-maintenance items, and what are the odds the upkeep budget got turned into a superyacht? Even a 10% chance that the missile will blow up on the ground, or hit the target without detonating makes a launch a very risky proposition.

  48. Putin isn't personally murdering, torturing, raping or kidnapping Ukranians. A LOT of Russian soldiers are making the choice to act like subhuman savages--of course, once the war is over, every Russian will claim they were a poor, innocent little conscript who didn't want to be there and never did anything bad themselves. Bear that in mind if you ever interact with a Russian man of the right age to have served in this war.
