  2. NATO made no such agreement, that's a Russian fabrication. The fact that you're even uncertain about it should be a reminder of how Russia pushes talking points into the mainstream through weight of repetition.

Russia can't win (they've already committed demographic suicide), but Ukraine can lose--in the sense that they give up a chunk of their country and millions of people, and a frozen conflict means they can't join NATO and are helpless against the next invasion. Especially if enough Useful Idiots are installed in the West.

  5. They actually don't. That assumes Russia can and will mobilise everyone without causing a revolution and that absolutely no soldiers are needed anywhere else.
