  2. The Norman invasion of England also got delayed due to storms in the Channel. If William had invaded earlier, he would probably have faced a battle-ready army of Harold's, rather than one that had just raced up north and back to quell a Viking invasion. So much ends up hinging on weather.

  3. We don't know what would happen till it happens. But one thing that will not happen is that it will go unanswered--it simply cannot be the precedent that a country can use a nuke and gain any sort of unpunished advantage from it.

  4. Whenever Russia cries for peace, that means they fear losing what they stole. Russia wants a peace where they can freeze the conflict and come back for the rest later, like in Chechnya.
