@BAtadCrazy If you've ever seen the "Evil Dead" movies, where an evil spirit possesses someone and turns them into a shambling, malignant force of evil that can ape the gestures of the human they once were but is fundamentally something monstrous and inhuman...yeah, like that.

I think it comes from the same people who shriek about NASA getting too much money--they hear "million" or "billion", and don't understand the truly titanic scales that global economies, especially the US, operate on.

There are people suffering severely in the UK from crippled public services, the massive Brexit botch and rampant injustice and government cronyism. But the proper question to ask is why we don't purge the Tories from office, properly tax the rich, and help everyone here and in Ukraine.

@peetky8645 Anyone who is anti-war should want Russia excised from Ukraine by the quickest route possible, and measures taken to make sure Russia will not go on an empire building spree again for at least a century. Anyone who uses "anti-war" as a cover for appeasement (or collaboration, in the case of Trumplicans) is a useful idiot at best and actively, malignantly evil and anti-democratic at worst. And if a foreign power was engaged in an active campaign of genocide, torture, rape, murder and child kidnapping against your people, in between indiscriminately shelling your home....you would join the fight. Maybe not as a combatant, but you would contribute, on account of being a human.
