Just look at ccp, you might lose your house, be locked up in a pandemic which the government denies wrong-doing, bad economy no jobs. Yes, not all countries are ready for a democracy. Some democratic governments are so corrupt, they make the democratic system look bad. But when a country is ready, it can go to far. Taiwan is such an example.

It's inevitable. CCP will fall. China will be broken into smaller countries. Taiwan will become independent. If China becomes a democracy, the relationship between Taiwan and China will be like the UK and EU, with respect and equal footing, exactly how democratic countries treat one another. If China becomes a democracy, only then will Taiwan consider talks of becoming a supranational political and economic union with China.

Taiwan is the only country that is willing to forgo its identity in order to maintain regional peace and stability. This is no different than publicly laughing at a person that is handicapped.
