  5. @C2K777  Yes, it looks like we were arguing at cross purposes. From your earlier message, I didn't understand that you had become a British citizen. If you are a British citizen, then you can vote in the UK. Non-UK citizens, Commonwealth or not, shouldn't have the right to vote in UK elections. It's pretty straightforward.

  6. What is not possible within the confines of physics is untrue. Truth is distinct from good, but THE truth helps towards attaining good. Accepting myths, legends, and fabrications as the truth involves some biased predisposition. In summary, morals can be easily disassociated from organised religion.

If British citizens can't vote in Canada, why should Canadian citizens be allowed to vote in the UK? I think the whole Commonwealth concept is of another age. It relates to the monarchy who seem to have very little interest in the British people anyway.
