  22.  @albin2232  Is there CCTV of what happened? Because if there isn't, it's not exactly going to be very clear of exactly what happened. You are aware that people have been stabbed to death and people have gotten off due to self defense right? I don't know exactly what happened, so I haven't said whether the person responsible is the bad guy or the good guy. Plus, in my eyes I think it matters why you do things. If someone just does something out of hate, greed or something stupid like that, it's not a great look. But if someone does something to protect themselves and/or loved ones, I don't think it's a big deal. So yes, why matters.

  37.  @Axel1Axel2Axel  It's not the same as guns, a mechanical device. Something you'd need some knowledge to put together. And even then that's possible if someone really wanted to. A knife is just a piece of metal that has a pointed edge.... You cannot stop that from existing. You don't need a knife to stab someone. I assume you want to ban all tools, all metal and any other material that is hard too?

Secondly, stabbing someone is far more serious than carrying one, so you're certainly not going to put anyone off carrying one if they're willing to stab someone. And 3rdly some situations are too deep for people to even consider the law. For example, if people were looking to murder you if they see you, do you really think you're going to care if it's illegal to carry a knife when you know if you get caught without one you're going to be unarmed and stabbed to death by someone else? No chance
