Sure, before I got my Tesla, I went to another charger station with my son and his new VW iD-4, and there was a person standing there that had charged his car at home but never at a charging station. He was having trouble even connecting the car, it just wouldn't work. After watching him for a while, I offered to help and simply juggled the handle so it made contact and worked fine. Those plugs and sockets not a Tesla, are not going to work for very long and probably are one of the things that make the chargers other than Tesla unreliable. But Tesla has released the plug and socket for the new North American standard to help solve the problem.
