That is just not true, it is the only one that will be left standing because of the total system cost, life cycle.
2
This is true, the government wants to save you from dying from car exhaust.
2
That actually happened to the fire dept. I was in, but I missed all the action since I was on vacation.
2
@philcook9967 Just like an ICE car, but cheaper.
2
While you are at it, shed some light on the ICE car propaganda.
1
It may be forced on us, but its the environment that does it, not the politicians.
1
This is all FUD. EV's are no more wasteful or hazardous than ICE cars, in the case of Tesla much less.
1
@rockyroad7345 Big rigs are heavily subsidized, they only pay a share of their actual cost to the environment.
1
No, and you won't because they aren't. Pure FUD.
1
@johngoard8272 Just buy a tesla and don't worry about it. That's what I did.
1
As a very intelligent former government worker who was willing to give his expertise practically for free to the state for 18 years, I think you have nothing to say unless you are willing to give the people some of your work years for little pay, or stop complaining since you did nothing to solve the problem. I gave up a job working for a large company to work for the state. (And so did my former secretary).
1
You have deluded yourself, no one thinks EV's don't require some oil, they just don't burn it.
1
@mddell24 No, No! simply unroll your 1,000 feet of electric extension cord and plug in! Besides your solution only works in the daytime.
1
@jakefriesenjake That depends on how many you have, a 4 MW solar panel charges fast in the daytime.(If its not overcast).
1
@taunuslunatic404 Which makes it a hybrid. Which actually is a good idea.
1
@hoboonwheels9289 That question is certainly a no-brainer.
1
@mguytv It works for Mega-Packs, so its good for you.😁
1
@chonpincher When solar power is used in the future, it won't matter.
1
@jjrider6758 Jeez, people have a lot to learn about pumping water, if I knew as little about it as some, I would be embarrassed to open my mouth.
1
@jjrider6758 A truck that is used harshly will have leaks, ask me how I know. Water freezes in Canada. Former USAF firefighter.
1
@charlestoast4051 Just plug it in.😁
1
@pyrolight7568 To bad people don't understand the difference between a road engine and a stationary engine. Call it a hybrid.
1
Without electricity; no gas pump.
1
@johngoard8272 May I suggest you keep wasting your money on old ICE cars and maintenance and leave the more economical modern technology to those that are better than you at figuring these things out.
1
@aaron___6014 As a reasonable person that has actually won races, I say you have little knowledge of tires and the science behind them. Please don't try to win a race with the knowledge you have.
1
@the_sceptic I can attest that this is not true on a Tesla. Almost all cars come with no spare, because they are not used very much and it costs more to keep a spare than it is worth. Ton-miles.
1
@steveinoz8188 What is harder than usual? I once had Good Year sell me special tyres with 140 rubber compound to win a hillclimb in the rain.
1
@jeffw1267 Most certainly don't believe him, he is lying or giving you partial information. Check with the millions of Tesla owners, of which I am one of.
1
@user-zu6qn9ux9n No, its not, pipes are not used. (Except in NYC where they were put in by Thomas Edison).😁
1
@johnminer1407 Why would you do EV charging at that time in the first place?
1
@richardweyland116 ICE cars burn at 10 times the rate of EV's.
1
davidwilhelm7466 Why would DC be more deadly than AC? Edison said it was the other way around (and he was wrong also).
1
So how long does it take you to grocery shop?
1
And where does bitumen come from? Oil waste, that's why it is used on roads, because it has to be put somewhere. When oil use goes down, the waste will also and we will use cement.
1
You really should'a bought a Tesla.
1
Large recycling battery fires are started when the companies realize they have a long way to go to start to make any money. Learn what you are getting into before investing the money and you won't have to get out by setting the place on fire.
1
@cs7th Soon, everyone will have solar and batteries.
1
@seamonlark9282 So you think there are no losses on the electric grid? Solar cells?
1
You should have told that to the Germans during WWII.
