  1. In 5 months all I got was positive attention, especially from young kids, they all know what a Cyber truck is. I took two trips from Peoria, AZ to Fort Collins, CO 820 miles each way with absolutely no problems, except I hit a deer in a snow storm who ran off ($45 worth of damage). I can't see any problems with mileage. That was before I got the front motor replaced (had a harmonic noise), now it has more range. I did the same trip in my model Y.

  3. Does anyone know that Tesla has software that will help prevent accidental acceleration when someone floors the accelerator? They say it has saved over 1 hundred accidental acceleration incidents in just weeks after it was deployed. As an 80 year old man, I know my Tesla's and their limitations as well as the laws and take full responsibility for my actions. I don't blame the car. I also don't trust others without checking their work as far as electrical installations go.

  4. Since we waited for 60 years to fire the excess government workers I am celebrating also. Just admit that things had got out of hand and Musk and Trump are doing something about it instead of just talking. Elon has said that the laid off workers are expected to find more productive work in this economy. (Shortly to be disrupted again when the robots take over). It might give them a leg up.

  8. Don't forget the fuel that is burned is not at maximum efficiency, converting electric usage to fuel usage shows just how much energy is used for trucks, (which you did). We should get an increase in efficiency of 20%. That would mean saving 20% of the pollution or more and less greenhouse effects. (Very rough numbers). With solar the savings is very large.

  10. Covering the roof with solar panels will reduce the load significantly. The only way to really figure it out is to do it. I would guess more than 20% of their total kWh use, but you only generate in the daytime. Don't get me wrong, an engineer can calculate, but he will only be close, there are too many variables.

  12. No exceptions are needed when people behave rationally. That is pretty much what I would do. Many HOA's don't know what they are doing or do things that are not in the best interest's of their tenants. Just because you have one shining example does not mean many are not. I refuse to live with an HOA.

  20. You are getting your different ideas mixed up. What Elon is talking about is the problem of making the launches for Starlink economically. The projects have to pay for themselves and there is a lot invested.
