I would like to point out that Elon is a true genius and Henry Ford was not, but they both listened to others and had a vision for helping humanity.

@robertbigler7743 The government is already involved and has been for many years, houses used to burn down much more readily, where have you been for the last hundred years?
9
@Crunch_dGH I am a retired grid operator myself, Sandy could not be more correct. At this time the grid can change to handle the changes brought about by auto charging and grid scale batteries. Until we get fusion, this is the answer.
7
But if manufacturing is hard, then scaling up is even harder.
7
You would be better off to get a good contact cleaner, save a call to the fire dept.
6
They already exist, please don't get electrocuted. Show him this video.
4
You weren't paying attention, a lot of your questions have been answered. Give credit where credit is due.
3
@Dkilbane1 At this level, sucking up is neither necessary or desired.
3
It is obvious that people have to learn when new stuff comes out.
3
All of them.
3
The standards agency's have been up to date for many years, people just don't pay attention to them. I just checked, Tesla tells people what the standards say and others likely do also, just listen. You can only recommend not force people.
3
@drkastenbrot Relative to a charger, they are simpler. Simple for me, difficult for you.
3
@toddmarshall416 I wouldn't try to explain their faults, but I would bet they don't idiot proof their devices, or the design itself.
3
The current code is relevant (if you have one) and has been for many years, it is just not implemented because of ignorance.
3
That was an April fools joke, who knows?😁
2
You have invented a new word, fiscussed; meaning a discussion with fists.😁
2
It will deteriorate faster.
2
That is a fairly accurate assessment.
2
Any socket will become loose over time, if you check it regularly, it would work but people don't do this. You have to take it apart and tighten the connections, I also use contact cleaner. Checks for voltage drop and thermal imaging might be beyond most people, but are easy to do and make it much safer. I check my house and wiring every so often and tighten connections that need it. I used to have a house with aluminum wiring.
2
@themonsterunderyourbed9408 Please don't fly in anything larger than a Piper Cub.
2
@dianapennepacker6854 Because they are Luddites.
2
@Voltaje_YT I have told a lot of jokes about yokes.
2
@beachcrow Use a Tesla wall connector and a good disconnect switch, not one like in the video that melted. Put breakers away from other breakers so they get cooling, use the correct wire, get an electrician.
2
Yes! Get to work and forget all this woke stuff! Focus on the business and doing good.
2
The resistance is not from anode to cathode, but in series with the output. Just means more energy is turned into heat instead of being used, reducing efficiency.
2
Recycling is taking off as more batteries have reached end of life.
2
Excellent engineering ideas, about the same as 7 books I read from NASA on how they built the Saturn 5a rocket. As Elon is always saying, the best part is no part.
2
@swmike Why would you as an engineer duplicate power lines? The best part is no part, unless necessary. Ethernet is well established technology. Duplex or simplex is a better question. I vote for simplex.
2
Impressive, Gary Fisher did that to beat the Russians at chess.
2
The solution has already unfolded, you have been warned.
1
Thanks for mentioning Kettering. I don't need to say you are correct.
1
You definitely got the Franklin engine right, we threw out all of them when we rebuilt 22 Piper Cubs in Sussex, N.J. back about 1959.
1
Your commercial is one of the best I've ever seen, it deserves looking at twice.
1
I found the same thing, people don't know what duty-cycle is.
1
The only "revolution" is in the doing, talk is great... The open box system has been around, just not implemented.
1
@rogerstarkey5390 Probably just an honest manufacturer.
1
Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance.
1
@salczar True, but how many commenters have actually tried them?
1
@thomaswilson2917 Well now that's a bummer.
1
@cruiser97eric1 Extensions anybody?
1
@cruiser97eric1 None, its the customer that always pays. (These principals are fundamental, makes me wonder where people get their education).
1
@sotek2345 You are dead wrong.
1
@davidlemieux615 In fact it is a requirement of the business model, where has everyone been?
1
@davidlemieux615 Because he did not do his homework, I sometimes think people engage mouth before brain.
1
@arnefines2356 True, but he does have minions.
1
@topsecret1837 He is a Luddite.
1
@themonsterunderyourbed9408 Again, don't fly.
1
@paulmichaelfreedman8334 You have heard of tuning and PID loops?
1
Run time of dryer is not the entire time it is on, it cycles on and off during that period just like an oven, that's why the breaker and wiring and switches and plugs and sockets have time to cool.
1
The wiring up to the charger plug generally wouldn't give the charger a high temp. alarm unless you might have a fire going there.
