  11. i watched a ASAF demonstration of toss bombs, ballistic guide bombs, at Poke AFB in 1966. We have used them even in WWII. One of the pilots of a B-17 that used them was a model flying buddy of mine until he recently died at 92 I believe.

  13. Don't forget the fuel that is burned is not at maximum efficiency, converting electric usage to fuel usage shows just how much energy is used for trucks, (which you did). We should get an increase in efficiency of 20%. That would mean saving 20% of the pollution or more and less greenhouse effects. (Very rough numbers). With solar the savings is very large.

More than 5 years ago, I was talking to my wife here in Phoenix,Az about getting the shipping out of LA to the east, and wondering why they didn't build the electrified second line through Tucson.   28. Just to illustrate what should have happened; If I was the captain, I would never have left the helm. If I were the 3rd mate, I would have made sure the pilot was doing his job and taken over control immediately there was a derivation from proper procedure and called the captain. And if I was the pilot I would have paid attention to my job and not, not, been using the cell phone. My experience tells me that people don't conceive the massiveness of large objects, power systems, ships, planes, trucks, trains, etc. It seems hard to impress physics on people. The recent increase in the incidence of very bad road accidents is illustrative of the tendency to push the limits because of the false feeling of safety from improved equipment. This has been noted by others. I'm 79 years old so I have learned my lessons. I was an operations supervisor on the electrical grid and experienced these things myself. Some of us sat in Phoenix and wondered what Enron thought they were doing as we watched them crash.

I'm 80 and I never thought ICE cars were the answer since I was 7 and learned to read, I was a fan of Edison and played with my twin brother on the side of the hill where the "Eternal Light" is when I was 3.   106. Nothing is 100% safe, but it is safe. How is the entire electric grid "shielded"? It is not. How is it "safe" to run a house with 3 air conditioners? They use a lot more power than my Tesla model Y. There is only the usual process as for all electrical appliances.
