Clemens Lode to me there is 0% of chance that China would change within 50 years, and definitely not before they has surpassed the US(coz whether we approve of their methods or not, this Totalitarianism of China has definitely increased their speed of progress) and I’m not even sure if they will ever change, coz it seems it’s working out for them. Trust me a lot of governments are jealous of ccp, a system where you can make decisions without the concern of public opinion or media, heck how comfy would that be! To me when I government are not in control of the ppl, the country is moving to make the people happier(not a bad thing obviously ) and when they do have control, they are building a stronger and fearful country.

Clemens Lode China had never been the one tend to back down or tolerate, and with this generation of hker growing up in mostly anti-China education, there is no way China will let them to make their own way. And at this point, without a international support by the US, hker is most likely to lose their freedom sooner than they or the CCP had expected, this movement has truly done a favor for them in a sense.
