Correct. The "children" are 16-17 year olds who committed or attempted to commit serious assaults and terrorist acts. This has been clarified in other media outlets

@carsonwallace4086 just in case you don't get it, I'll explain. You're talking about the legal definition. The actual dictionary definition means a very young, innocent, and immature person, and not even a teenager. When they use the term "children" to refer to the teenaged violent criminals in this case, they are being intentionally ambiguous and misleading.

@rain0aldwaib I don't know which specific case you're talking about, but throwing rocks can be a very serious crime. People have been killed by thrown rocks. Rocks are pretty dangerous, and they don't just throw them, they use slings. Throwing rocks at cars and slinging rocks is not that different than assault with a knife. No one was arrested for skipping rocks in a pond.

@manartahoun-t8v you seem to be struggling with two things. One, the definition of terrorism, and two, articulating a coherent argument. I'll help you with the first one. Terrorism is the use of violence, often against civilians, to create a climate of fear in a population. A terrorist does not get to be called a "freedom fighter", sorry.

@zenalsham7977 actually Israel has better things to do than put innocent people in jail believe it or not. It's actually pretty expensive. It's a safe bet every single one of those kids is in there for a good reason. The fact that they chose these juvenile criminals to release indicates these are the LEAST dangerous of the lot. And they're pretty bad.

@tiffystrangebirdbrown If you read your Bible, you'll see David killed Goliath, and didn't wind up in dead or in jail. Hamas also use rpg's against tanks, not rocks, and it's not working for them, to say the least. So, no comparison.
