  2.  @dgo4490  why should they? Russia cant harly afford to increase the man power over there in Africa when they are fighting currently in Ukraine. Second the Tuareg are a guerilla army they are hard to defeat

  7.  @dgo4490  The Tauregs wont be defeated millitarily this war can only be solved politicialy. Russia can double their troops over there, but they wont win the Tuareg can hide if they have to. They will ambush Russian troops further. The Soviets lost in Afghanistan remember and Russia could only win in Czechnya, because its bought their leaders. And if Russia wanta to escalate it France and the Us still can arm the Tuaregs which should be much cheaper than what they doing in Ukraine
