@KotleKettle you are talking about ppp, but I am talking about the nominal gdp Russia has a gdp of around 2trillion compared to Germany which is at 4.4trillion. It is correct that Russia currently produces more, but what matters is the potential the US industrial potential is much greater than Russias. Not Europe is spending 6% of its Gdp into millitary around 40% of its budget into national security and defense and this allon for Ukraine. A war against Europe would force Russie to double atleast its spendings which would crush the russian economy. Todays Russia is only a regional power only a shadow of its former self which has to ask North Korea for help. Despite Russia produces more its not enough to keep up with its losses thats why the storages getting emptier and emptier
