  1. I disagree with the analysis that Kharkiv was a big victory for Ukraine. Nor do I at all think Russia was close to nuclear weapons after. That was a mere buffer zone and outside the land bridge. I see that as a tactical retreat as no Russian regular troops were killed and they gave up land that was not significant

  4. Don’t think Russia was hurting badly in 2022- it was simply that Putin assumed Zelensky would negotiate and instead they launch a surprise offensive that burnt through their reserves because the troops they used for those rash offensives were not properly trained
