  1. That happens to me when it’s an emergency. I get all calm and quiet. I go ice cold. I don’t give an inch. Before it happens you don’t know how you’d react. It’s definitely hard but my brain is the same. It was stretched to the absurd degree. It has nothing to do with protesting or anything but document destruction. Please to misdemeanor trespass. Hard time for a misdemeanor is ridiculous. 60 days in a max prison not a county jail. These people are worse than a Soviet kangaroo court. This judge should definitely have recused himself. It’s absurd to not have done so. I’m a lawyer and I’m so sad that they stacked the deck completely against each Jan 6 defendant. No venue change motions were granted even if brought in the first place. No speedy trial motion. No recusal motion and the judges were using their emotion to rule their decisions. No one should be a judge who can’t separate emotion from critical thought. Apparently the DC bench has way too many emotionally driven judges than any other federal district court. Judge Tom S Lee is my standard to follow for a federal court judge. He is not mean, but he’s strictly fair. He’s now a senior judge in the Southern District of Mississippi. I was a member of a team in court on a case in the 90s. His courtroom was run like a well oiled machine and he did not play favorites or do anything through emotion. If anything he bent over backwards to be fair and honest. He’d have recused himself. I also went on to work in state circuit and chancery courts in Mississippi. I worked in the 10th Circuit. The whiff of any appearance of a conflict meant both judges recused themselves. I’m so livid that any judge who would not is still on the bench.
