  2. Typical democrat response. Oh poor pitiful me! No. I did not have a problem with him or his service, which I appreciate by the way, until I learned he was lying about his service. He chose to abandon his men, claim a rank he never achieved and say he carried weapons in war. It the lies I abhor. He did not want to go. He decided to run for congress and then lied about his service. It’s pathetic. My father served on a destroyer after Korea. My uncle served in combat on a ship in WWII. There’s a difference. Daddy did not request a military funeral. Just a note on his headstone that he served. Uncle JC got a full military funeral in a National Cemetery in Mississippi. Combat v noncombat matters to the men who served.
