  1. The joy stick isn’t my problem. It’s the fact that the plexiglass wasn’t rated for 2 miles. The carbon fiber wasn’t proven either. Steel and titanium are used by the majority of submersible builders for a reason. I’m a lawyer. “It’s unsinkable” is a horrible look. Not springing for the right plexiglass is horrible. The communication failed. James Cameron also cautioned him. It was not even safe to 1300 meters. Assumption of the risk is the standard. Gross negligence might get over that but I doubt it. That snowboard decision is not the norm. You assume the risk. The engineers of the cyclops disowned this thing. Airplane carbon filters are great. Also tanks of gas. But outside pressure, no. Recreational Diving in the sea is not an activity that is covered by the act. IMO.

  2. The engineers disowned this vessel as well. They built the cyclops 2 and he modified it. They said the glass was not rated to 2 miles and the fiber wasn’t tested. Engineers are always the one I’m listening to. And not certified by anyone.
