  1. The thing is that the Insurrection Act has been used multiple times going back to Jefferson. Most recently it was used to end the LA riots in 1992. Now, I do disagree with using combat arms units preferring to use MP units if absolutely necessary. Although, if the military leadership really want to earn the respect of the people they would deploy but with the purpose of protecting the protesters. Heck, if you wanted to be really dramatic they could occupy and seize public areas to be used for the purpose of peace protest and patrols to ensure protesters are not harassed during transit. But hey I am just a guy writing this comment between bites of a Bill Miller fried chicken sandwich and Mountain Dew. No matter my opinion these guys know better than I do.

  2. Why not build up our stockpiles??? Keeps people in jobs and gives us a large strategic reserve.
