  1. I don't know that I would refuse it if they gave it with zero work on my part, but I wouldn't really want a Uruguayan passport as a naturalized citizen. It is one of two countries on Earth that gives citizenship WITHOUT nationality. For instance, if you are Ugandan and you get a Uruguayan passport, the nationality inside will say UGANDA in big bold letters, sometimes with additional explanatory text like "see page 9". All of that inside your spiffy new Uruguayan passport. Its bizarre and very confusing to customs officials everywhere, even in Uruguay itself so not super useful as a travel document. Uruguay keeps saying they will change this, but they don't seem to be in a big hurry, its been going on for decades.
