I love Denmark, but Scandinavia is stunningly expensive. Its not just the taxes (corporate taxes in Denmark used to be oddly reasonable for Scandinavia), its everything single thing you do or buy. And I find service is poor for the price, maybe because its not a tipping culture and the employees get paid for work, or not work. And don't get me started on the rules and regulations. When I lived in Copenhagen it was virtually impossible to throw away large items - the result was even Danes were throwing old TVs and mattresses in ditches in the burbs. Again I love the place, but they have a tax or rule for every minute of every day!
