The thing is, other platforms and twitter it self prior to this at least attempted to regulate platform and nazis and anti semitic posts would be banned. Obviously some would fall through the cracks but Facebook, Instagram and twitter could at least say they still regulating it. Twitter no longer does it and even worse, Musk him self amplifies often anti semitic posts. At some point this sort of thing is bad for busdiness because advertisers care for their brand. And the less controversies, the better. You also need to understand that companies don't care about politics and are motivated by money. If they support something, it means they believe this action will bring them more money long term. They have entire departments existing solely for this that research and investigate and then offer advice to those in charge.

Not exactly. Election interferance by Russia did indeed happen. While Trump's own involvment wasn't proven, several people that were part of his election campaign were arrested for their involvment with Russia. Hillary didn't organise insurection as well.
