  2. @Igor Melo I have seen dozens of "ads" for Rust that specifically praise it's compiler for "not letting your write bad code". If idiosyncrasies of Rust result in newcomers writing code that tanks multi-threaded performance, that directly contradicts this selling point. Especially considering that it is multi-threaded performance that I would want to use a language like Rust for, because I don't need special memory-safety features in a language if I am writing a single-threaded application.
