  2. USA in a nutshell. A lot of drama and little substance, as seems to be the case with many of these videos. The real problem is that they took the research paid for by taxpayers, and abused the fuck out of it by charging inconceivable prices for something that is life-critical technology, which is in no way "luxury" so they could get ridiculously rich off the people that funded their research in the first place. If they were ethical with their business practices, no one would sue them in the first place. That's basically how US medical system works. I never hear of something like this happening in EU. Typically the new technology will get picked up by whoever could secure funding for it's usage. A patent implies a % of the profit payout to the original research team for some time or up to a certain sum. It's controlled by the government and ensures healthy competition without anyone being able to secure a ridiculous monopoly by being lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time and sleazy enough to take advantage.

  3. Is disconcerting to see this propaganda piece without a single source is not buried in dislikes, but for once the comments restore some faith in humanity as it sees many people actually have brains not to take this trash at face value.
