  2. 32-33: the Aesthetic thing is SO true. As an Italian Canadian and revert, I lived my whole life chasing love and romance. There’s a reason Latin/Italy etc are associated with a certain kind of romanticism and expressive love. I had to definitely chill and give myself a dose of realism after meeting my wife to be able to get on with kids. I also selected my wife purely for hotness, and it worked out because she’s intelligent too, but could have backfired spectacularly.

  5. Malcom, your prescription I agree with. The only caveat I’d say is celibacy is a good valve for sexual deviants, incels and the deeply psychotic/fanatical. I think the deaconate (married priests) should have more power and say but that celibacy should remain. The Old Mass and small communities will 100% replace the dying mainline church
