  1. Children quickly master foreign languages, especially the younger ones, this is the way nature intended, this is how children begin to speak. At the age of 1.5-3 years children are not taught grammar and alphabet, they just start to speak the language of their parents and that's all. And if the parents are bilingual, mom and dad are from different countries, then the children speak two languages from birth, provided that the parents spoke to them each in their own language. I wonder at what age this opportunity disappears from children?

  2. There is a channel on YT of an American (@senttosiberia) who has been living in Russia for some time in Altai Krai where he farms, his Russian is perfect. I never thought that an American could speak Russian so fluently, so cleanly and unmistakably, without an accent and with a huge vocabulary. If I met him on the street, I would never think he wasn't Russian. You could ask him what his secret is, how he managed to achieve such success in learning Russian.
