  1. This is not a typical Russian apartment, but Stalinist houses are still highly valued because they have high ceilings and the size of the apartments in these houses is usually larger than typical Soviet ones. The kitchen is small, just right for a bachelor, but women would not be satisfied)

  2. Tap water in Russia is safe, you won't get poisoned if you drink it, and many people actually drink it without spending money to buy bottled water. But I also buy bottled water, because the tap water in my town is too hard and when boiled it forms a scale which has an unpleasant taste, but some of my neighbors don't mind it at all
