  2. Had a 1974 280C. Great straight six DOHC, 4bbl with dual exhaust. European model, no power except brakes and steering. No radio or sunroof. Cloth seats.

  5. Had a 74 280C with the 110 model dohc straight six with 4bbl. Stripped down version didn’t even have a radio just a plate with 280C on it. 0-60 in 7 seconds fast for the time. It was Euro spec with halogen headlights and slim bumpers

  7. Do you know of a 74 280C ? These coupes good handling and fast for what they are. Mine was Eurospec and didn’t even have a radio 😮 Only PS and PB. No sunroof, crank windows.

  8. These cars were made to drive on cattle trails 😂 before there were many roads. Many of today’s vehicles are not as capable

  9. German scrapyards used to have lots of Mercedes with front end damage, they went faster but didn’t stop as well

  10. Had a 76 280SE four speed, always took off in 2nd gear. It had mechanical fuel injection that worked well.

  13. The air filter on my 280C was like a racetrack, huge and expensive. A tuneup included valve adjustment
